North Shore Girl Now, Baby!!!!

WOOHOOO!

So, I made it to Vancouver. Whaddya know!? I'm pretty sure there were a fair amount of family and friends back home who didn't think I'd ever reeeeeallly do it. But here I am!!! Pbbbt!!!

C (my soon to be roomie!) and I just got home to her place in Surrey from the Green Day concert a GM Place tonight. SO awesome! We were on the floor this time and it was so great. Those guys put on such an amazing show and it's just so cool hearing the songs I went through highschool knowing and now all their new stuff that I constantly listen to live. They were awesome in The Peg and they were freakin awesome here!!!! Have to check out the local paper here (whatever that may be, haha!) and see if there's any good pics. Their stage show they put on with all the fire and lights is incredible and the music is just so infectious. Love it.

Tomorrow I get to bum around C's house while she goes to work, then we are going to scoot downtown so we can check out the Thrift Stores for our Halloween constumes, hehe, and then I have a job interview! Yep! 4th day here and I have a job interview!!! Yay me! It's even for a freakin CAMERA STORE. How damn amazing am I? Unfortunately it's for their downtown store, not the North Van/West Van one (not technically sure if Park Royal Mall is west van or north van.....) but all the same, as long as they will give me some decent hours, at least for now it's a friggin job! The head guy I talked to said there may be a chance for me to move to the Park Royal store later on too. I also applied for a job at the Art Supply store that's only 12 blocks from our future apt (next week, woohoo!) soooo...if I get that one and they give me comparable hours, then I may quit the other. Or at least reduce the hours there, as it will cost me alot more to get there. At least a job's a job right now, and even if it costs me like $4 a day to get there and back, it's better than nothing! So I have to go meet the manager of that store tomorrow and hopefully he'll like me and give me a job! Yay!

Thursday we're gonna see if we can go and see the apt, since I haven't actually seen the inside yet! And dunno what else we'll do...Friday its the Mirage for C's Last Day in Surrey Party...which K and I will prob be getting started extra early.....hehe. Saturday is the Proclaimers, which will be super fun! And then next week is The Town Pants and moving day!!!!!

Today we went to West Van to check out the new 'bucks that C will be working at and go to the beach...the rocky side of the beach, but beach none the less! It was GORGEOUS. It's gonna take me a while to get used to the seabus horn and having big ships and water smell around...but its so amazing. I can't believe I'm actually here!!!! I feel so lucky to get this oportunity to be living here, no matter how long I end up staying...it's gorgeous here and to be so near the ocean ALL THE TIME is unreal to me. As soon as we are in our apartment and my computer arrives from home, there will be tons of pics!!!!

Now...it's like 1am and that makes it like 3am Manitoba time, which I'm still sorta on...that's gonna take a bit....and my feet are about ready to fall off...I gotta hit my bed tonight...ie. the couch in C's living room. (I can't wait to have my OWN BED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Til next time...........

So much to say, so much to say....

Well Jebus, Mary and Joseph...where to begin??

The new arrival is two weeks old now. Whew! He's gotten so big already I can't believe it! His name is Constantine...what a cutie pie! I will refrain from posting his photo though. I assure you all though, he is cute as a button. Hehe. Finally got to hold him and everything...it's just so unreal for me. It was crazy enough when my brother (who is my only sibling) got married. Now he's a Dad?! That's craziness to me. But he's going to be such a great Dad. He already is. I see how much he loves that little guy and it's just so sweet. Makes me realize that I'm just not ready to be that completely selfless yet, but I now know that some day, I will be and will want kids. To be honest, I really wasn't sure for a long time there, but after all this...when the time is finally right, I will definitely want them. Seeing my husband with our baby would just be so damn adorable! Hehe. But until then...I will be very content with being the awesome Auntie who brings Lil C wicked presents.

In other news....omgomgomgomg. I MOVE to friggin VANCOUVER next Saturday. To sit here and say I'm not totally losing my mind over that thought would be a complete and udder lie, haha. But at the same time, I have never been this excited and exhilerated in all my life. This is going to be a huge step, but it's going to be so amazing. I seriously can not wait. C got us what sounds like a friggin wicked apartment and sounds like we may even have some furniture and everything, it's going to be amazing. It's going to be super hard to leave it all behind, but what I could gain could be the rest of my life.

Here goes nothing, people!!!!!!!
