Christmas and beyond...the brink of craziness!

So I know it's been wayyyy too long since I updated here! I don't even know reallly where to start and I don't think I CAN start just yet. There will be photos (oh, there WILL be photos...) and there will be stories. But it's become an overwhelming well, almost month, basically and so much has happened! Too many weekends of nonsense and fun!

Christmas was weird but went well, I think. I was very strange not waking up at home on Christmas morning. The first time in 23 years (my whole life!) that I hadn't woken up at the farm and opened presents with my brother and my parents. This year was an even harder year for that to happen too because of my gorgeous little nephew and it being his first ever Christmas. I hated missing him opening his presents so much. Unfortunately it couldn't be helped though, as I just couldn't get time off work at that time of the year to fly home. I get to go home in less than a MONTH now though and I can't friggin wait!

Christmas morning was fun though...we went to Surrey to hang out with C's Mom and sister and open presents with them that morning. I was spoiled far more than I had expected and it was sweet to open presents from my family back home which I had saved since my Mom had sent them to me weeks before. Then we all got ready and went for dinner at C's Aunt and Uncle's house in North Van. I met all the cousins and other family members I had yet to meet, and we played fooseball and pool and had tons of fun. C (and Heather) & I made the dessert that looked funny but was a hit with the Church family. It was so nice to be welcomed into a family and I was well taken care of. So big thanks to all of C's family for making me feel so welcome. :)

I worked a ton during the holiday season and finally had a few days off after Christmas so I could go up and visit my uncle who lives up the Sunshine Coast. It's so gorgeous up there and I'd been wanting to go since I moved here, but I rarely get two days off in a row from work. But I was so happy to finally make it and I had a blast just getting to kick back in his gorgeous house and hang out with his family. It's just such a relaxing place to visit away from the city....and it reminded me of home because he's so like my Dad in so many ways (they are brothers after all, haha) and it was quiet. Nice and quiet. Not to mention dark. I had apparently forgotten just how dark it gets out in the bush! I love it. So I had a great time out there and can't wait til the summer comes and C and I can go out and visit again. It'll be so great to go suntan on the deck and frolic on the beaches there. Hehe.

After that there was the Town Pants New Year's Eve EVE show and that's where the craziness begins.........

....which will have to wait for a new entry, which will in fact include pics!

Cheers.
