Final LWR

So tonight I caught the final episode of that Ewan McGregor show I've been obsessed with...The Long Way Round. They finally made it to North America and they showed them going through Alaska and into Canada...all the way down through Calgary where Ewan almost got killed. Can you imagine? He makes it all the way through the fuckin Road of Bones and Mongolia and everything...then some snot nosed kid rear-ends him on the TransCanada Hwy and damn near kills Ewan McFuckingregor. If it had been me (though that would never happen, I'm a good driver...ahem) I prob would've been crying. "Ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod...I almost killed Ewan McGregor!!!!!!!!!!!" I'd prob be more upset than he was. None the less, he didn't die and they made it down into Montana and all the way to NYC.

The part of the show that's always gotten me is their honesty with each other and the whole thing. Both of them were always so candid. Then when they got closer to home they were so sweet about seeing "the girls" (their wives)...it was just so cute. The producer ends up playing a bit of a joke on them when they are staying at this B&B sorta place for their last night before going to into NYC and the wives and Charley's girls are actually there. (Ewan won't let his kids be shown on tv.) And the producer is interviewing them in this little porch swing set outside and Ewan is all like...they aren't here are they? And the Producer is like..no, no no, they're not. And he's like...that would be great, but I figured they wouldn't be. They aren't here are they???? The producer...NO, no, no...they're not. Then they go on to talk about something else and you hear one of Charley's girls squeal behind them and come running out and Ewan's head just WHIPS around and they freak out and run to their wives. Omg. It's one of the sweetest things I've ever seen on tv. Just so touching. To say nothing of the way he kissed her....haha. Ahem.

Anyway....the part that made me cry though (yes, I cried, ALRIGHT!?) was when they finally rode into NYC together and they'd been joined by all their buddies and the OC Chopper guys all on their bikes....and Charley and Ewan popped two big ass bottles of champagne and then they are hugging each other and crying...sigh. Cute boys hugging each other and crying, it'll get me every time. Haha.
